Book Review:
The Therapist by B.A. Paris
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Description:
When Alice and Leo move into a newly renovated house in The Circle, a gated community of exclusive houses, it is everything they’ve dreamed of. But appearances can be deceptive…
As Alice is getting to know her neighbors, she discovers a devastating secret about her new home, and begins to feel a strong connection with Nina, the therapist who lived there before.
Alice becomes obsessed with trying to piece together what happened two years before. But no one wants to talk about it. Her neighbors are keeping secrets and things are not as perfect as they seem…
Review:
Honestly, I wanted this book to be better than it was. It had creepy points but it wasn't all that thrilling. There were definitely points that had to be figured out, like who killed Nina (aka the therapist). But it wasn't really Alice's place to do so just because Nina and her sister had the same names. Also, if all of those weird things were happening in Alice's house, why didn't she do anything about it? I would have been creeped out beyond belief.
It wasn't necessarily a bad book, but I probably wouldn't recommend it if you prefer wild thrillers.
