How far would you go for happily ever after?

For as long as she can remember, Evangeline Fox has believed in true love and happy endings...until she learns that the love of her life will marry another.

Desperate to stop the wedding and to heal her wounded heart, Evangeline strikes a deal with the charismatic but wicked Prince of Hearts. In exchange for his help, he asks for three kisses, to be given at the time and place of his choosing.

But after Evangeline’s first promised kiss, she learns that bargaining with an immortal is a dangerous game—and that the Prince of Hearts wants far more from her than she’d pledged. He has plans for Evangeline, plans that will either end in the greatest happily ever after or the most exquisite tragedy….

Review:
This was my first fantasy book that I have read as an adult (i'm in my mid twenties) and I loved it!

I really liked Jacks' character. He was mysterious yet I felt like he was protective over Evangeline, but in reality he needed her alive so it was more for selfish reasons. *eye roll* Jacks and Evangeline had a love-hate relationship throughout the whole book but it was so enjoyable. Evangeline's character was a rollercoaster. It was like she was trying to do what she thought was best and then she did whatever it was and realized it wasn't the best idea, and it was like that the whole book. I did notice that she tried to give people the benefit of the doubt but it would come back to bite her in the butt. The author definitely tricked me in the beginning because I thought Marisol was the sweet stepsister, but then it got all twisted and I was surprised. The magic aspect of this book was lovely and I enjoyed the principle of the Fates. Once I finished this book, I immediately checked to see if there was a second book. I cannot wait to read it and I recommend this book to those who want to give fantasy a whirl or those who simply like to read fantasies. Also, upon reading other reviews I realized that some of the characters from this book are connected to the Caraval series, which I have not read.
